Our beautiful Termocotto Oak Veneer doors are manufactured using a fire hardening technique that dates back thousands of years – the Japanese called it shou-sugi-ban.
The term is actually a bit of a misnomer, for it is the heat from the fire not the flames that hardens the wood.
The heat treatment not only gives the doors their trademark natural look but it also hardens the extra thick veneer.
